Annabel Pitcher's Ketchup Clouds has won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2013. Her debut novel, My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece, was shortlisted for the prize last year.
The Waterstones Children's Book Prize was created nine years ago to reward and champion new and emerging talent in children's writing. It is voted for by booksellers across the country.
The Prize consists of three categories: Best Picture Book; Best Fiction for 5-12s; and Best Book for Teens.
As well as the teenage category, Ketchup Clouds won overall winner of the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2013. Ketchup Clouds is also on the Sheffield Children's Book Award shortlist 2013.
